It is the main grouping of Merengue typical of the Dominican Republic of these times.

Banda Real (Real Band) received its first nomination for the Soberano Awards in 2009 as "Newcomer of the Year." Then it is nominated as "Typical Merengue Group of the Year", managing to obtain two consecutive awards within this line, in 2010 and 2011.

Since its debut on November 21, 2008, a series of works, permanence, image, diffusion and hitting of its albums reconfirm its position and leadership in the wide and varied market of typical Creole music.
